SEM 2- Pool edges

Pool edges also known as pool coping, are essential for pools or bathing spaces because it separates the pool itself from the decking or the rest of the floor space. For my bathhouse it is definitely essential since I am using bamboo flooring. I am using concrete for the pool edges as it is strong, durable and a long lasting material for a wet space.

I will also need to reconsider using bamboo throughout the entire bathhouse because in some areas it might not be suitable, such as where the walls meet the walls of the pools. I could now think about using concrete as well as bamboo in the bathhouse. Even though concrete will slightly put the experience of being in a natural space off, it is essential for some spaces in the bathhouse to be completely free of wood/bamboo e.g shower floors.
